I look forward to working together!

Cognitive behavioral therapy is a collaborative process that asks you to be an active participant from the very first session. To help us get started, I am going to ask you to bring some information to your first session (below). This will save us time and allow us to work together as efficiently as possible.

What to expect in our first appointment

In your first appointment with me I will ask you a number of questions about the problems you are experiencing, your personal and family history, your goals for psychotherapy, your expectations and your hopes for the future. I will also try to make sure that I answer any questions you have. By the end of our second or third appointment, I will discuss possible treatment options that might be helpful for you and make specific recommendations. If cognitive behavioral therapy is recommended, I will explain what to expect and how the therapy works. If I determine that I cannot be helpful or that I am not likely to be the most effective therapist for you, I will make a referral to someone better qualified.

More general information about my practice can be found on the Questions About Therapy page.

Please review these forms.  I will be sending you all Treatment Consent documents and related documents to your email address and these can be electronically signed through Adobe Sign.
